President, Mike Beale, welcomed all to the 2005 Carroll County Farm Bureau Annual Meeting. Invocation was lead by Mark Justice; who also dismissed tables to dinner catered by Parrett’s Catering.
Malena Zook & Sarah Griffin read their Lugar Essays and Kain Meyer was recognized for as the winner of the state coloring contest. Don Villwock, Indiana Farm Bureau Incorporated President, spoke on current legislative issues that Farm Bureau is working on.
Mike Beale then called the meeting to order, Craig led the pledge to the flag, and Janice Frey gave devotions. Mike introduced the board and the insurance staff and guests. The reading of the secretary’s report was waived. Carolyn Burkle, District Women’s Leader, highlighted several upcoming events. Shawn then went over the resolutions, passed out ballots and called for a vote. Mark Justice led the election of officers. Vice President and President were up for election; as well as, 3 delegates and 3 alternates for the State Convention. Ballots were distributed. Janice Wilson, District 3 Representative, went over the Articles of Incorporation and the need to vote on these. She then spoke briefly on the exciting activities happening in Carroll County Farm Bureau.
Mark Justice returned with the results of the election. President – Mike Beale and Vice President – Ryan Swayze. Delegates: Mike Beale, Shawn Ashby, & Mark Justice. Alternates: Ty Brown, Kathy Justice, & Craig Frey. Shawn Ashby announced that all resolutions passed and would be forwarded to the State level.
