Carroll County Farm Bureau Annual Meeting

President, Mike Beale, welcomed all to the 2004 Carroll County Farm Bureau Annual Meeting. Invocation was lead by Mark Justice; who also dismissed tables to dinner catered by Parrett’s Catering.
Entertainment was provided by the Carroll High School Swing Choir known as the “Cougar Blues” lead by Mr. Spence
Mike Beale then called the meeting to order, Craig led the pledge to the flag, and Janice Frey gave devotions. Mike introduced the board and the insurance staff and guests. The reading of the secretary’s report was waived. Kendall Culp, District 3 President, highlighted several of the key legislative issues at the state house this session. Shawn then went over the resolutions, passed out ballots and called for a vote. Kathy Justice led the election of officers. Secretary/Treasurer, Women’s Leader, and Assistant Women’s Leader were up for election; as well as, 3 delegates and 3 alternates for the State Convention. Ballots were distributed. Janice Wilson, District 3 Representative, spoke briefly on the exciting activities happening in Carroll County Farm Bureau.
Shawn Ashby announced that all resolutions passed and would be forwarded to the State level. Kathy Justice returned with the results of the election. Secretary/Treasurer - Rusty Ashby, Women’s Leader – Janice Frey, and Assistant Women’s Leader – Betty Ward. Delegates: Mike Beale, Craig Frey, & Mark Justice. Alternates: Ty Brown, Kathy Justice, & Ryan Swayze.
Meeting Adjourned. Door Prizes were awarded. 24 packages of Indiana Kitchen bacon were given out, as well as two $25 prizes to Colton Underwood & Geraldine Clawson and the Grand Prize of $100 went to Peg Sullivan.
